A Trip to the Moon

What a good thing we’ve got the Ilkley Film Festival. Their ability to pull off brilliant and creative events is to be applauded. On Sunday we were treated to a screening of A Trip to the Moon, the first sci-fi silent film directed by Georges Méliès. Just beautiful.  Read more about it here

The live soundtrack was perfect provided by Stems from Huddersfield (Art rock embellished with strings – epic cinematic compositions full of sweeping elegant darkness and hypnotic delicate intensity). Read more about Stems here

The headline act was DJ Yoda mixing live to classic sci-fi clips. Good fun as you might imagine.

And by way of an introduction to Stems here’s one of their videos.
